Safe Drinking Water
FREE-SAFE drinking water programs are being offered by the Tule Basin Management Zone (TBMZ) to residents with elevated nitrate concentrations in their drinking water. To begin the process for verifying whether your water is contaminated by nitrates and if you are eligible to enroll in the TBMZ Safe Drinking Water Program, fill out the Safe Drinking Water Program Inquiry Form at the link under the Bottled Water Delivery and In-Home Water Treatment Section at the bottom of this page. What is a fill station?
Fill station are located in communities for any person to bring their own water container (maximum container size is 5 gallons) to fill with safe drinking water to take home at no cost. There is no limitation on the number of containers you can fill. Fill stations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
A stations are available for public use in the community of Terra Bella.
The TBMZ is actively working to bring a fill station to the Community of Porterville in 2023.
